Who Am I

I’m Tan, a transformer export specialist based in Guangdong, China. I currently work at a transformer manufacturer with over 30 years of history — a factory that supplies transformers to dozens of Fortune 500 companies worldwide.

My day-to-day role is international B2B sales. For years, I’ve worked directly with ring core transformers, EI transformers, dry-type transformers, and oil-immersed power transformers — not in theory, but in actual export orders, technical specifications, and customer inquiries.

Why I Built This Site

Over the years, I’ve answered hundreds of technical questions from buyers in the US, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Most of them weren’t engineers — they were procurement managers, facility technicians, and project coordinators who needed clear, practical answers fast.

I noticed that most online transformer resources are either too academic or too vague to be useful in real buying and installation decisions. I built transformer4u.com to fill that gap.

What Makes This Different

I’m not an electrical engineer. But I’ve spent years translating engineering specifications into language that procurement managers and field technicians can actually use. Every guide and calculator on this site is built around the questions real buyers and technicians ask — because I’ve heard those questions hundreds of times.
